Sonia put together a perfect day for us, riding in an air conditioned car (it was very HOT out!) through the little towns, stopping at winemakers and having tastings. We also had a beautiful vineyard-side lunch and a wine tasting overlooking the grapevines! Our guide was knowledgeable and personalized the trip, including a cheese shop she knew we’d like. I give this experience an 11 out of 10.

I have been in many wine regions and met fabolous people. I have to stay Bourgogne Emotions by far exceeded my expectations twice. It can tailor your visit from the very basic to the more complex and sophisticated taste. Elsa has always been my guide and her knowledge is at a very top level. There is always a surprise at the end of the tour. From planning to execution and beyond, best tour I have ever been.

An amazing Burgundy experience

Our day with Sonia in burgundy was exceptional.

We began with a helicopter tour which was about a 30-45 minute overview of the region which gave a great overview of the towns and vineyards ranging up the hill to showcase the elevation and landscape. This helped to understand the higher up the hillside the more exclusive the wine.

Our first Domaine we met the winemaker and he took us for a private tasting inside his house, as well as a tour of his winemaking and barrel storage facilities. His hospitality was first class and we really appreciated him explaining more about the burgundy wine making industry.

At the second chateau we had a wine tasting paired with a beautiful lunch in private area amongst the vineyards at Comte Senard, with each of the wines being a Grand Cru classe. This was one of the best lunch experiences on our entire Europe trip.

On the way to the next winery we visited the famous Romanee Conti vineyards, from these grapes they make the most expensive wine in the world.

At our final stop we visited some ancient barrel storage facilities with old wine collections and some Grand and Premier Cru wines.

Sonia was an exceptional tour guide and the only choice if you are visiting the burgundy region.

Fall in love with Burgundy!

Our day in Burgundy (côté de nuits) with Elsa was an absolute dream! My husband and I booked this trip as a 40th birthday gift to ourselves and it did not disappoint! We loved all of the wine we tasted and shipped a lot home. They made it easy to group our purchases together. They even had a very special birthday surprise for us at the end of the day. The local winemakers lunch was definitely worth the extra cost. It is not to be missed! I cannot say one bad thing about our wine tour. Highly recommend! If we ever make it back, we will be booking another wine tasting tour! I would do the entire day over again!

Passionate guide, perfect organization and stunning winery visits and wine tastings!

I would like to thank Burgundy Emotions for the moments I have experienced last days. Both Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits tours were organized as per my wishes.

My guide Elsa was a very nice person and an experienced professionist and she has made me feel so pampered throughout the trips. She has provided me with detailed information about the wines in Burgundy, from the soil to the grape varieties to the classification to the difference between the various villages and climats. Visits and tastings were great too.

It was such a perfect organization, I am thrilled with how everything turned out and I surely will be back soon to discover even more of this amazing region. Highly recommended!

The Grand Cru Tour of Grand Crus!

Sonia is the ABSOLUTE BEST when it comes to planning exclusive unique experiences all over Burgundy. For our last trip (we are repeat customers!), she organized several days of Grand Cru tastings. My favorite was the horizontal tasting of Grand Crus from each of the 7 Chablis vineyards while overlooking those vineyards! My husband’s favorite days were focused on reds — the tasting she arranged at the Vosne Tasting Club and Clos de Vougeot were out of this world.

Sonia can truly handle anything you ask her to do for you — her driving is impeccable, she’s professional, well spoken (excellent English), she is extremely knowledgeable about all things Burgundy, and she organizes truly one of a kind experiences that you should not miss. We can’t recommend Sonia and Burgundy Emotions highly enough. She is amazing!

For our next trip, we’ll put everything in her hands, from lodging to tastings, a hot air balloon trip, and who knows what else she will have come up with by then. We are already looking forward to it.

Amazing experience

Absolutely wonderful experience. Sonya’s attention to detail is amazing. We chose the Grand Cru tasting. She picked us up in a brand new Mercedes. Car was perfectly clean. She provided us with an amazing experience. Sonya may not be the cheapest option but she is by far in a way the best option. Myself, my friends, and my family will continue to use Sonya as long as she will allow. What an amazing trip.

Kundenservice par excellence

Eine wunderbar individuell konzipierte Tour. Verschiedene Winzer konnten besucht werden. Mittagessen direkt in einem Weingut mit exzellentem Menu. Sonia hat sich viel Zeit genommen und wir hatten eine sehr lustige Zeit. Wir haben extra Grand Crus dazugebucht und nicht bereut. Imposante Kellergewölbe mit Verkostung bei Dom. Bichot. Für mich ein Highlight.

We hired our driver, Sonia, for the three days in Beaune. She was incredible and very professional. We got a van for the four of us. Very comfortable, very reasonable. Based out of Dijon. Very highly recommended! We did not have to drive once after arriving in Beaune.

We booked a full day, and it was one of our favorite days of the trip. Our tour guide Sonia was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the local wines, geography, and culture. We are hardly wine connoisseur, but felt more than adequate to tackle fancy wine with her help. The day included a visit to a larger winery in the morning on the way to Beaune. This included a tasting of three chardonnay and three pinot noirs, including premier and grand crus. The cellar was amazing to look around in, and the ambiance while tasting was great. Sonia told us about the different years and what kind of crops those produced, as well as what to look for when buying the wines. It was very helpful.

We drove along the roads and even stopped at Romanee Conti just to take a picture outside the winery known for some of the most EXPENSIVE wines in the world. Sadly, we didn’t taste any, but they don’t really do that there.

On the way back to Dijon we stopped at another winemaker, but this one, a small «boutique» winemaker. The house was absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous Burgundy roof. We loved our visit here and loved the wines. Once again, three Chardonnay, and three Pinot Noir. On our way back to Dijon, we took the road through each of the little villages just to get a feel for each little town.

I would recommend to anyone, wine expert or not. It was a great day in a great region of the country!

Beautiful scenery and educational tour.

My knowledge of Burgundy wine was very limited before this trip, but I learned loads in one day about the regions, the classifications, and how to read the labels etc. The drive through all the vineyards is beautiful (we were helped by perfect weather), and our guide (Sonia) was very knowledgeable and lovely. (Sonia so sorry we didn’t think about tipping until later; please let us know if there is a way we can transfer it to you).

We tasted 12 wines, including grands crus, and didn’t feel any pressure to buy (though I did a couple of bottle).

Highly recommended.

Sonia’s knowledge of the area and the wines is amazing. Having her take us through two Châteaus and the tasting of their wines was truely educational and fun. The villages and vineyards are really beautiful.

We were totally happy with the tour.  Our guide, Sonia, arrived exactly on time.  The car was very comfortable. Sonia was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history of wine making, the Burgundy area and the individual vineyards and their wines.  She has a personality which made our afternoon both informative and also a lot of fun.  We thoroughly enjoyed her company.

Exceptional Experience!

Sonia was truly an exceptional tour guide for us during our tour. My girlfriend and I are by no means experts in wine and yet she was very patient with us and happy to answer any and all questions we had. The wines we tasted were truly magnificent and the lunch we had was one of our favorite meals we had in France. Would highly recommend this to anyone with a love of wine or if you are just getting interested in it.
